APAII is a new innovative program for Advance Pattern Assessment. The pioneering system has the ability to cover both leather and synthetic materials. It provides a customer with a number of unique methods to assess how much material will be used within their business. Analysing what levels of waste can be expected for pieces, groups of pieces and complete shoes. APAII allows for a total solution for the calculation of material consumptions, with industry proven methods of simulating the results achieved on the factory floor.

APAII advantage is it eliminates the guesswork from out of material stock control. Linking specific materials directly to the patterns and amounts cut. There is also various nesting methods employed so that a customer has the ability to effectively decide the most appropriate method for their day to day working practise. The program is designed to reflect a companies working methods where both automatic and manual programming functions can be initiated. As a result the system is effective in bringing in cost control at the very early stages of shoe development.

CSM3D has become Shoemaster International and will perform a central role in the global business,  working in close partnership with Shoemaster s.r.l, a newly created Italian technical-commercial support division that will be based at the Atom headquarters in Vigevano. This is in addition to a worldwide network of service companies shared with Atom.

The investment is not only in advancing the technological development, but also enlarging the worldwide distribution network for the suite of Shoemaster® applications that are recognized as the leading platform for 3D integrated shoe design and manufacture.

The business strategy involves a quantum leap on the technological front by extending the integration of Shoemaster® with the production range of Atom and Main Group technologies. In addition to utilizing the combined strength of the groups worldwide sales network, enhancing a market orientated approach to “delivering service” and satisfying the demand for global integration and production coordination in the footwear industry.
