Orthopaedic Footwear

The Shoemaster Orthopeadic system can provide you with a complete solution for the production of Orthopaedic footwear and covers everything from footscanning, through style and pattern engineering and up to direct cutting.

The system contains several different products that a specifically developed for each individual part of the process:

  • Footscanning (INFOOT or TechMed)
  • Foot Measurement and Last customisation (Shoemaster Custom)
  • Style development and Pattern Engineering (Shoemaster Power)
  • Last Manufacture (OFM Last Turning Machines)
  • Direct Cutting Systems (Nestor Cutting Systems)

The system can begin with the capture of the 3D foot or last using either a static or portable 3D footscanner. Using the foot as a guide, individual bespoke lasts can be created using a variety of tools within the Shoemaster Custom software. The resulting last can be then produced in either wood or plastic using the OFM Last turning machinery.

Starting with a digital copy of the last , accurate flattenings can be produced quickly and easily allowing styles to be viewed and modified in a combination of 2D and/or 3D. Individual patterns can then be produced with all the required allowances etc. and finally output to a variety of cutting tables including the Nestor direct cutting system.
